The Referral Course is the completion of PADI Open Water certification course that was started in one location, such as your home dive shop, and finished in a second location, such as a tropical destination, like Mexico. This arrangement is convenient for those students who do not have access to an open water area suitable for diving (land locked), do not have agreeable open water conditions in their area (too cold), or who have limited schedules during their vacation for study and practical learning. Scuba theory, tests, and confined water skills practice is done with a PADI instructor/dive shop in one area, and the open water dives are completed with a second PADI instructor/dive shop. Referral students must bring proof of previously completed course work.
The referral completion of the practical learning and four open water dives with Aquanauts Dive Adventures takes one full day and one half day. The first day will include a review of theory and pool skills in the morning and a two tank dive in the afternoon. The second day will include the final two tank dives. See the schedule below.
The cost is $356 US dollars for the referral course. There is a $7 dollar per day dock fee that is paid to the Marina. The final total is $370 US dollars. Four open water dives, the review session, full equipment rental and the final certification (e-card) is included in the price. We ask for a deposit of $150 US dollars to reserve your space on the boat and instructor time. The deposit link is at the bottom of this page. We kindly ask that the balance of $220 US dollars be paid in cash. We accept credit and debit cards with a 5% processing fee.
