PADI Open Water Diver REFERRAL

The PADI Open Water Diver program gives students the knowledge and skills to dive safely in a variety of underwater conditions. PADI Open Water Diver credentials are recognized all over the world. Students will learn the necessary skills to dive safely within the no stop (no decompression) limits. Open Water divers have the privilege to obtain air fills, purchase scuba equipment and book dive tours. They can even dive to familiar sites with another Open Water Diver as a buddy and without a guide. The minimum age is 10 years old to enroll in this course. Students will plan, conduct and log four open water dives as part of their training.

This option is for students who have already started the Open Water Course with their local dive center and only have the 4 Open Water training dives to complete.

Students must bring their training record/student file. There is a mandatory review session before diving. The instructor will touch on key scuba theory concepts, equipment assembly and safety skills demonstration in the pool.

This referral course is one full day and one half day. Four open water dives, the review session, full equipment rental and the final certification (e-card) is included in the price. We ask for a deposit of $200 US dollars to reserve your space on the boat and instructor time.

During the course, the student should being:

  • Swimwear, sun shirt or rash guard

  • Towel, dry change of clothes

  • $12 dock fee, for each day of diving (2)

Course dates are set by email and arranged based on the student desires and the existing diving schedule.
